FET Phase

The Further Education and Training (FET) phase covers Grades 10 to 12 and prepares students for higher education or entering the workforce.

It allows learners aged 15 to 18 to specialize in subjects aligned with their career goals, equiping students with critical thinking and practical skills in fields like sciences, commerce, and the arts, providing a strong foundation for future academic or career opportunities.

Curriculum: ACE

How ACE works

Our ACE Curriculum for grades R to 7 is designed to spark curiosity and foster a love for learning. With individualised learning, students learn at their own pace, mastering skills while building confidence. Engaging materials and hands-on activities make every lesson fun and interactive, setting the stage for lifelong success!

The ACE (Accelerated Christian Education) system is designed to make learners more active and responsible for their learning, with Supervisors (Teachers) facilitating the process.

Here’s a brief overview of how it works:

Individualized Learning

Learners work at their own pace according to their academic abilities, ensuring that no one is left behind or held back.

Goal Setting

Each learner sets daily goals on a Goal Card, with an average of 25 pages per
day to cover a year’s work. Supervisors check these goals to ensure they match the
learner’s abilities.

Self-Directed Learning

Learners read through the text and learning strips, answering
questions independently. They score their work at score strips, emphasizing honesty and learning from mistakes.

Supervisor and Monitor Support

Supervisors are always available to help, and Monitors (Teacher Aids) check the previous day’s work for correct scoring and adherence to the system. They also give merits and demerits for behaviour and work.

PACE System

Learners work through a PACE (Packet of Accelerated Christian Education)
within 3 to 4 weeks, covering all subjects daily. Unfinished classwork becomes homework.

Testing and Mastery

After completing a PACE and memorizing a scripture piece, learners
take a PACE Test. The pass rate is 90% for Grades 1-3 and 80% for Grades 4-7. If a learner doesn’t pass, they must repeat the PACE.

Continuous Monitoring

Daily goal checks and weekly spot checks ensure performance and
correct scoring. Completing 12 or more PACES per subject per year is essential for finishing an academic year.

This system aims to foster independence, responsibility, and a personalized learning
experience for each student. If you have any questions or need further details, please ask!
